Cooperation with the French Development Agency (AFD)

INA / JUSTINE BABUT

INA is a technical partner in several international cooperation projects financed by the French Development Agency (AFD). The AFD is the operator for implementing the French development aid policy, supervised by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The AFD received a new mandate in 2017 dedicated to the cultural and creative industries (CCI).

The AFD relies on INA as a partner and mobilises French expertise for development. Within the framework of technical cooperation projects and exchanges of experience, the INA implements:

  • Carrying out expertise as well as technical and sectoral studies.
  • From guidance to the definition of policy and legal frameworks in the CCI field.
  • Advice and support to preserve and enhance audio-visual heritage and construct dedicated infrastructures.
  • Designing and implementing training plans, instructional design advice and training teachers in all areas of audio-visual, film and digital technology.

By doing so, INA contributes to achieving the public support objectives for French and international development. It mobilises the cultural and creative sectors as a vector for job creation and sustainable economic growth, education, strengthening citizenship, inclusion and social well-being, intercultural dialogue and building a peaceful and sustainable society.
